Zsolnay Eosin Glazed Vase: Outstanding Hungarian eosin glazed vase by Zsolnay, circa 1884-1890. Decorated with a formalized design reminiscent Hungarian metal works. Reddish brown underglaze with gold and copper overglazing. Church steeple manufacturer's mark.

The Zsolnay factory was established by Miklos Zsolnay in Pecs, Hungary in 1853. In 1863, his son Vilmos Zsolnay (1828-1900) joined the company, eventually becoming director and leading the company to worldwide recognition.
