Dammouse Stoneware Vase with Algae Design: Rare French art nouveau period vase by Albert-Louis Dammouse, c. 1894-95.

The son of a porcelain modeller at the Sevres manufactury, Dammouse (1848-1926) founded his own workshop in Sevres in 1871. His preferred medium was stoneware and stylized plant motifs, such as shown here, are characteristic of his work.

This particular vase is referenced in "The Paris Salons 1895-1914," Volume 4, page 105. Marked on bottom.
