Bienfaisance: "Bienfaisance" (Charity), a ceramic sculpture designed by Eugene Delaplanche and executed in the workshop of E. Muller & Co., c. 1880's.
Delaplanche (1836-1891) was a French born sculptor recognized for his dignified naturalistic works, which are now on display in the Paris Opera House and several French museums and churches. He exhibited several times at the Salon de Paris and obtained Medal of Honor in 1878.
