Eduard Stellmacher Monumental Dragon Vase: A monumental Austrian Art Nouveau period vase with applied saurian designed by Eduard Stellmacher, c. 1905. Hard earthenware with cream body and matte grey/brown shading and greenish metallic luster. Saurian has matte gilding. Eduard Stellmacher (1868-1929) was the son of Alfred Stellmacher, the founder of Amphora. He is best known for works which feature realistically sculptured plants and animals and mythical creatures.
