Salon des Cent: Andrew Kay Womrath (1869-1939) was born in Philadelphia, but moved to London and later, Paris to study and work. His work was quite popular in France, but never garnered much appreciation in the United States. Although Womrath often worked in the field of advertising, he may have only produced this single poster. Drawings, woodblocks, and watercolors constitute the majority of his work.
This poster advertises for the Salon des Cent - an exhibition of works by contemporary graphic artists.
