Huile de la Croix Verte: An advertisement for "Huile de la Croix Verte" (Green Cross Oil), a table oil produced in the Bordeaux region of France. This colorful geometric design illustrates how the oil is as essential to the table setting as a wine glass or a bread plate and napkin. Cassandre produced several variations of this poster; this is arguably the most successful.

Cassandre (1901-1968) is considered one of the masters of French Art Deco period poster art.
