Academie de la Grande Chaumerie: This poster advertises for a decorative arts class at the Academie de la Grande Chaumerie which was to be taught by Grasset himself. The Academie was an art school founded in 1902 which ignored the traditional ways of painting, and instead encouraged independent style.

Eugene Grasset (1845-1917) was an important figure in the decorative arts field. He worked in multiple design disciplines during the Belle Epoque and is considered a major contributor to the development of Art Nouveau.
