Talmone: A vintage Italian chocolate poster by Sepo (Severo Pozzati), 1952. Here, the artist cleverly illustrates the freshness of the milk that goes into Talmone milk chocolate. Founded in 1880, Talmone eventually became the largest chocolate-making company in Turin; it is credited with being the first company to produce a milk chocolate product.
Italian born Sepo (1885-1983) moved to Paris in 1920, where he was influenced by the likes of great poster artists such as Cassandre. He made a triumphant return to Italy in 1934, and created works with a fresh "modern Italian" aesthetic for Talmone and other companies.
