Erie Street St. Clair Residence: Nicola Ziroli worked as a stone carver for sculptors and construction firms while attending school. He graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1930. He then began working for the Works Progress Administration, first as an easel painter, and later as the Art and Craft Exhibitions supervisor. He created about seventy paintings for the U.S. government. Ziroli later taught at schools in Illinois and Michigan.
