Musee D'Ethnographie: A poster advertising the "Musee d'Ethnographie du Trocadero" by the French art deco master, Paul Colin, 1930.
The Ethnographic Museum of the Trocadero was the first anthropological museum in Paris. Founded in 1878, it closed in 1935 when the building that housed it was demolished.
In the poster, Colin features a monolithic Moai sculpture from Easter Island juxtaposed with another mask. The result is a striking Modernist design.
